Empowerment & Progress: New Idea Group Concludes Special Training “Iron Army Program: High-Efficiency Workplace Communication”

Talents constitute the core foundation for an enterprise’s long-term development. As it forges ahead, New Idea Group consistently prioritizes talent development, competency enhancement and efficiency improvement. It keeps building a systematic employee growth and training system to comprehensively strengthen all staff’s professional capabilities and comprehensive soft skills.

To resolve common workplace pain points including communication barriers, work reporting, client liaison and crisis handling, and cultivate a professional iron army team adept at active listening, effective expression and public relations management, the company invited distinguished gold-medal lecturer Jin Dawei from Zhiyuan Enterprise on July 25 to deliver the special in-house training Iron Army Program: Master High-Efficiency Workplace Communication. The training equipped business personnel with immersive learning covering underlying logic and practical tools for workplace communication.

Built on the professional framework Iron Army Program: Eight Cultivations for Workplace Elites, the curriculum falls into three core modules: Active Listening, Effective Reporting and Crisis Public Relations. Integrating theories with real commercial cases, on-site scenario drills and one-on-one hands-on practice, the training avoids empty abstract theories and delivers actionable methodologies applicable to daily work.

Session 1: Advanced Active Listening – Understand Others’ Needs & Build Trust

The training opened with a core insight: communication is not merely about being eloquent, but about building trust, and listening holds the initiative in all communication.

  1. The 3E Active Listening Model: Disassemble counterparts’ demands from three layers – emotion, fact and expectation; address emotions before tackling practical issues.
  2. Three Progressive Stages of Listening: Step out of one’s own perspective, shift to the other party’s standpoint, and ultimately reach mutual consensus, drastically reducing communication conflicts between superiors and subordinates, clients and colleagues.
  3. System for Cultivating Client Trust: Establish client confidence from three dimensions – corporate platform, personal expertise and product value, gradually guiding clients from initial willingness to trust, to full entrustment, and deep long-term reliance.
  4. Practical communication tools: The 4W Fact Verification Method and the Three-Step Praise Formula (Facts + Feelings + Questions). Trainees completed live scenario exercises covering upward communication, dispute mediation and client comfort.

The lecturer emphasized throughout the session: Top-tier professionals devote 80% of their energy to fostering trust, with only 20% reserved for deal closure. Dismissing others’ emotions equals dismissing the individuals themselves; empathy and respect lay the foundation for all collaboration.

Session 2: Advanced Structured Reporting – Clear Logic & Result-Oriented Delivery

Targeting prevalent pitfalls such as unfocused reports, vague priorities and unquantifiable achievements, the lecturer introduced two universal structured expression frameworks:

  1. The Total-Part-Total Reporting Model, adhering to four rules: lead with conclusions, maintain logical alignment between general statements and supporting details, categorize information clearly and ensure progressive reasoning. Restrict core reporting highlights to no more than three for concise, impactful delivery.
  2. The PREP Universal Expression Formula: Point of view (P) – Reasoning (R) – Evidence & Cases (E) – Restated Point of view (P), suited for impromptu speeches, opinion sharing and work reviews across all scenarios.
  3. Three Standards for Outcome Definition: All reported results must feature clear timelines, tangible value and quantifiable data. Minimize subjective descriptions and adopt measurable indicators to clearly demonstrate work contributions.

By comparing real-life communication cases between supervisors and subordinates, trainees practiced team-based work reporting to rapidly fix logical flaws in expression, streamlining all upward updates and cross-departmental coordination.

Session 3: Advanced Crisis Public Relations – Poised Response to High-Risk Scenarios

Focusing on challenging situations including client objections, public opinion controversies, supervisor criticism and sudden disputes, the training unpacked core underlying principles of professional crisis public relations:

  • The Law of Divided Escalation: Arguing amid conflicts only deepens confrontation.
  • Four Core Pillars of Crisis PR: Timely apology, transparent root cause explanation, concrete solution provision and clear stance declaration.
  • Guiding Principle: Pacify emotions first before resolving issues; avoid lecturing or confronting stakeholders head-on, as sincerity always outweighs rhetorical skills.

Trainees conducted simulation exercises based on well-known brand PR incidents and scenarios of receiving managerial criticism, learning to stabilize their tone amid conflicts, resolve issues appropriately and safeguard both corporate and personal professional reputations.

Breaking the mold of one-way lecturing, the training incorporated diverse interactive segments: workplace listening assessments, group scenario simulations, live script drills and in-depth case analysis. Drawing on authentic work scenarios such as client negotiations, team conflict mediation, work briefings and sudden complaints, the lecturer provided real-time feedback and corrections, enabling trainees to master reusable communication tools on the spot.

Participants shared that the training directly addressed their daily communication hurdles, offering clear, implementable solutions for common struggles: unfocused reporting, difficulty building rapport with clients and confusion over conflict resolution. They pledged to integrate the 3E Listening Model, PREP Reporting Framework and crisis PR protocols into all business and management workflows moving forward.
