From July 18th to 20th, General Manager Xiaojun Zhang of New Idea Group led the middle and senior management to gather at the Grand Hyatt Jeju Island A mid-year summary conference themed “Joining Hands with Jeju Island to Write a New Chapter — Uniting Strength, Leading the Future” kicked off here. This gathering was not only a comprehensive review of the group’s first-half journey but also a clarification of the direction for the second-half development.
At the beginning of the conference, heads of various departments took turns to report on the highlights and pain points of their work in the first half of the year. They not only summarized successful experiences but also conducted in-depth analysis of the root causes of problems. They shared strategies and insights in exploring new regional markets and also expressed concerns about the intensified market competition in the second half of the year. During the result reporting, ideas became increasingly clear, and consensus continued to build.
Subsequently, General Manager Mr.Zhang stepped onto the stage, leading everyone to review the struggling footprints of the first half of the year with detailed data and vivid cases. From breakthroughs in market expansion to steady growth of core businesses, from optimization and upgrading of internal management to continuous enhancement of team cohesion, every achievement was inseparable from the joint efforts of all NEW IDEA members.
At the same time, he directly pointed out the shortcomings in the work of the first half of the year — the progress efficiency of some projects needs to be improved, the layout of emerging business sectors needs to be accelerated, and the smoothness of cross-departmental collaboration still has room for enhancement. “Reviewing the past is to better move towards the future,” said General Manager Mr.Zhang , making everyone present fall into deep thought.
In addition to the review of the first half of the year, the development plan for the second half was also a key focus of this conference. Centering on the core goal of “how to break through bottlenecks and achieve high-quality growth,” General Manager Mr.Zhang clarified the work plan for the second half:
1、At the market level, the group will increase investment in emerging markets, optimize product and service portfolios, and further enhance corporate influence.
2、At the business level, it will accelerate the implementation and deep cultivation of emerging business sectors while consolidating the leading advantages of core businesses.
3、At the team-building level, it will improve the talent training system, build a broader development platform for employees, and enable every capable and responsible employee to shine on the stage of New Idea Group.
Outside the conference room, there were blue seas and clear skies; inside the room, everyone from New Idea was full of enthusiasm.
On the second day, partners from New Idea Group embarked on a pleasant trip to Jeju Island’s East Island. The early morning sun sprinkled on the sea, and the sparkling sea surface and the distant dark blue mountains formed a natural painting. Strolling along the winding coastline, the sea breeze, mixed with the fragrance of flowers and grass, blew in.
On the beach, some people chased the ebbing waves barefoot, and laughter spread far away with the sea breeze; beside the reefs, several photography enthusiasts raised their cameras to capture the agile moment when seabirds skimmed the sea surface; deep in the coconut grove, colleagues sat around sharing snacks, talking about their gains from the conference and expectations for the future. In the evening, in the golden afterglow of the setting sun, everyone raised their glasses to cheer for the achievements of the first half of the year and gather strength for the journey of the second half.
The conference has come to an end, but the journey of New Idea Group continues. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all colleagues, the group will ride the wind and waves amid the challenges and opportunities in the second half of the year, move steadily towards higher goals, and make the vision of “writing a new chapter together” come true.
